KATHRYN TAKES ON THE BEACON WAY IN MEMORY OF HER BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER ROSIE
Kathryn Jarman is raising money for Dreams & Wishes Charity in loving memory of her beautiful daughter Rosie, helping us put #SmilesOnFaces of seriously ill children and their families.
Having already completed the Chepstow 10K at the beginning of the year, Kathryn is now preparing for her next incredible fundraising challenge.
Over a series of consecutive weekends during the summer, Kathryn will be walking the Beacon Way, a spectacular route through the Brecon Beacons.
The challenge will take her from Abergavenny to Llangadog, covering 99 miles and an impressive 6,143 metres of elevation.
This is much more than a physical challenge. The route holds deeply personal memories for Kathryn and her family, making every step a special tribute to Rosie.

A WALK FULL OF SPECIAL MEMORIES
The Brecon Beacons were a place Rosie loved, and the route will take Kathryn along some of the same paths Rosie walked during her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition before she became unwell.
Kathryn hopes special guests will join her along the way, sharing their love of the mountains and celebrating Rosie's memory.
A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO ROSIE
Kathryn said:
"It will be a particularly poignant challenge as not only was Rosie born in Abergavenny, she loved walking in the Brecon Beacons. Part of the route itself will cover some of the same route Rosie walked during her Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition before she became unwell. We hope to bring special guests along the way to share our love for the Mountains, as in the namesake of Rosie's book, A Mountain In My Heart."
